Start A Legion Riders Chapter

A minimum of five (5) persons are needed:  President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Road Captain. Each member/officer must be a current and in good standing member of The American Legion, Sons of The American Legion or The American Legion Auxiliary. You must have authorization of your sponsoring American Legion Post Commander, stating they recognize The American Legion Riders as a program of the Post and assume the liability of such program by way of a letterhead from your post. This should be signed by the post commander and adjutant, and sent to The American Legion, Department of Pennsylvania. This must be voted on at a regular post meeting and the number of members present at the meeting should also be noted.

To: Adjutant, Department of Pennsylvania:

I, ___________________________, as the Commander of Post __________, American Legion, located at ______________________, PA, give authorization to the State American Legion Riders to form an American Legion Riders Chapter ___________ organization.

The Chapter __________ ALR group will comply with the National American Legion Riders by-laws, the Pennsylvania American Legion Riders department by‐laws and the Chapter__________ American Legion Riders bylaws.

The Chapter __________ American Legion Riders will also comply with the House Rules of all Posts and will in good faith execute the same.

Commander Post __________ of __________ American Legion Adjutant Post __________ of American Legion.
