The American Legion Riders, Post 108, Bradford, held its fourth Annual Benefit Run on Aug. 25. Originally scheduled for June, inclement weather forced a postponement, but officials said in a press release that “it couldn’t have worked out better.”

Ride event chairman/planner Brian Weichmann pulled off another winner this year supported by Legion 108 Club Manager Tarren Trout. The ride, the facility, the food and chance auction drew many compliments.

Allegany, N.Y., American Legion Director Tod Hopkins said, “It was a beautiful day and a great ride! If you missed it, I highly recommend you attend this ride next year.”

Numerous donations for this fundraiser came from the Bradford business community, both large and small, plus individuals who stepped up to help, and the Legion Riders 108 thanked everyone who contributed.

Called “a total win-win for the veterans and the community,” in the event press release, the event’s 44-plus participants enjoyed the day supporting the cause. All funds raised by Post 108 Legion Riders support local veterans’ causes.

This event could not have happened without support from check points along the route: Warren Eagles, Randolph, N.Y., American Legion, Ellicottville (N.Y.) Brewery – Little Valley and the Salamanca, N.Y., American Legion.
