Key aspects include maintaining muscle mass, strength, mobility, mental clarity and emotional well-being. HOW HORMONES INFLUENCE AGING Hormones are chemical messengers that regulate many bodily processes, including growth, metabolism, mood and reproductive functions. Over time, the levels of certain hormones decline, which can contribute to the symptoms commonly associated with aging. Key hormones involved include:
