Maggi reappointed to two national committees for American Legion
Washington County Commissioner Larry Maggi was recently reappointed to serve on two national committees for the American Legion.
In October, the National Executive Committee of the American Legion appointed Maggi to the Youth Cadet Law Enforcement and the Law and Order & Homeland Security committees.
The Youth Cadet Law Enforcement Committee oversees, organizes and conducts youth law enforcement programs throughout the country, while the Law and Order & Homeland Security Committee discusses issues, writes policies and lobbies national legislators.
“It’s an honor to be appointed to these national committees, because veterans’ issues are very important to me,” Maggi said in a written statement. “All veterans deserve honor and respect, and I will do whatever I can to fight for them and to make sure their voices are heard at the local, state and national level.”
Maggi, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, is a member of the American Legion in Claysville, the Mon Valley Leathernecks, the Marine Corps League, Sons of the American Legion and the American Legion Riders.
