MARKETING, MEDIA, FUNDRAISING, and COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE

The Marketing Media Communications and Fundraising Committee meet at headquarters on 10 August 2024 at Department Headquarters at 1230hrs all their Vice Chairs were present, and PR rep was excused. Guests to the meeting were Department Commander John Fritz, Department Adjutant James Woody Hogan, and Assistant Department Adjutant Troy Michaels.

There were several topics that were discussed some of them were the upcoming awards that the committee handles. And we were all in agreement that they are in decent shape and can stand as they are written now.

We then moved on to some of the new missions that we are being asked to handle by the Department Commander he is requesting the team to work side by side all the other committees to get the word out about the American Legion and the Be the One Campaign.

We will throughout the next year be working with Membership and Legislation, Woman’s Veterans, as well as working with the American Legion Riders who are our driving marketing asset for the American Legion as a whole.

We will be working with different districts and post throughout the department to get the good name and deeds of the American Legion into and onto the different news Medias.

The committee is looking forward to the upcoming year and helping the American Legion Family grow and attempt to show the Legion in a more positive light then in years past.
