The OJA continued its mandate to review contractual matters for the Department.

The JA continued its privilege to review and interpret the Constitution, By-Laws, Resolutions, etc. for both the Post and Department regarding membership qualifications, review of potential changes for our disciplinary procedures, HA matters, disgruntled members ousted from Posts without apparent due process, etc.

The JA has afforded Advice & Counsel regarding advice for Posts and Department Programs.

The JA continues to monitor State and Federal lawsuits affecting the Department; especially with respect to the Department’s continuing defense in the second injury lawsuit arising from a certain Philly Post.

Finally, the JA continued to offer advice & counsel with regard to Labor and Employment matters at the Department, including an ongoing matter with the Federal EEOC, and a related matter filed in Federal Court.
